My poetry delves into the complexities of loss and belonging, weaving together themes of solidarity and community. I employ sensual language and surprising, often contradictory imagery to create a visceral experience. The work invites readers to ponder their place in the world and urges them to confront pressing issues—specifically the pervasive impact of unequal power dynamics and the damaging effects of the industrialized, global neoliberal system on our environment. Recurring themes include violence, ecofeminism, power, racism, and social justice. My process is intuitive, rooted in association, experimentation, and play, techniques that surface in the distinct imagery, tone, and storytelling of each poem.
